Nominate an Outstanding Local Senior – NSW Seniors Festival 2026

Our seniors are the backbone of communities across Murray.
They are the volunteers, carers, mentors, organisers and quiet contributors who have spent decades giving to others, often without recognition.

As part of the NSW Seniors Festival (2–15 March), one outstanding senior from each shire across the electorate will be formally recognised.

We are particularly seeking nominations for unsung local heroes — people whose contribution may not be widely known, but whose impact on their community has been meaningful and lasting.

Who can be nominated?

You can nominate any senior who has:

  • Contributed to local clubs, community groups, charities or services

  • Supported others consistently over time

  • Strengthened the social fabric of their town or district

  • Made a difference without seeking recognition

How to nominate

  1. Download a nomination form by pressing the button above or collect a physical copy from any of our offices (see below)

  2. Complete the form with details about the nominee and their contribution

  3. Email the completed form to: murray@parliament.nsw.gov.au or return the physical form to either

Recognition will be presented during the Seniors Festival in March.

This is a chance to properly acknowledge the people who have quietly held our communities together for generations. If someone in your community deserves thanks, nominate them.
