The project received just over $99,000 in funding and has transformed the Health Services Centre into a renewed and future-ready community asset, ensuring vital health services can continue to be delivered for years to come.

“This project represents persistence, teamwork and genuine community commitment,” Ms Dalton said. “From the initial grant writing, through to planning and delivery, many people worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this happen.”

Ms Dalton paid special tribute to Katie Robinson, who took on the role of project manager and guided the project from concept to completion.

“Katie stepped up to an enormous challenge with professionalism, dedication and heart,” Ms Dalton said. “Her leadership, ability to manage stakeholders and determination to deliver for the Pooncarie community were outstanding. This facility stands as a testament to her commitment.”
