WAGGA BUSH SUMMIT- TOO LITTLE TOO LATE

Make it stand out

Too little, too late

At the Bush Summit in Wagga Wagga, the Government announced $155m for a “road blitz” and $43m for drought “resilience.” But it won’t even scratch the surface. Our councils are broke, and locals deserve roads as safe as Sydney’s.

And on drought? Farmers don’t need token workshops — they need real water infrastructure. Build dams. Build storage. Stop ripping water out of the bush with buybacks.

Agriculture underpins Australia’s economy. Undermining our farmers undermines our nation.

If governments are serious about resilience, they’ll fund real projects that keep rural communities alive — not throw crumbs while taking our water.
