About Me

I was raised on a wheat and sheep property in the small country town of Rankins Springs in New South Wales.
That landscape shaped me.

Early mornings, hard work, seasons that don’t wait — and a deep respect for the land and the people who work it. That love of agriculture still drives me today.

In 2019, the people of Murray elected me to be a strong, independent voice.

In 2023, they re-elected me with a clear mandate — because they wanted someone prepared to stand up, speak plainly and put the electorate first.

Agriculture, especially irrigated farming, underpins the strength of our towns, our businesses, our environment and our communities. It supports jobs, keeps schools open, sustains local services and gives regional Australia its purpose and resilience.

In Parliament, I’ve focused on delivering real outcomes.

I’ve led the push for transparency in water ownership and water management.

I’ve fought for fairer health services closer to home, including action to address the failures of our current regional health system.

I’ve stood up for farmers, small businesses and communities impacted by decisions made far from Murray.

I’ve introduced legislation, forced debates, asked difficult questions and refused to stay silent when policies hurt regional people.

I don’t answer to a party machine. I answer to the people of Murray.

My role is to listen, to act, and to make sure regional communities are never treated as an afterthought — in Parliament or anywhere else.
