Why are Chris Minns and Anthony Albanese against an independent review into the failings of the Murray Darling Basin Plan?

What do they have to hide?

If the state and federal government were acting in the best interests of Australia, a Royal Commission into water mismanagement would not even be questioned. How can you justify not looking into a $13 Billion-dollar failure which has gutted Rural communities, destroyed national food security, and increased everyone's grocery bill?

If we have learned one thing in the past month, it is that it is more important than ever that Australia can feed itself. What happens next drought when there is no Aussie food on the shelves and the supply chain gets cut because of war? What will Minns and Albanese tell us then?
