FARLEY AND DALTON JOIN FORCES
Today I stood with David Farley, the newly elected Federal Member for Farrer, to make one thing absolutely clear: state and federal, we are united against Labor's Water Management Amendment (Easements for Inundation) Bill 2026. The bush has waited 25 years for this kind of representation, and now we have it.
While the country was watching the Farrer by-election, Premier Chris Minns and Water Minister Rose Jackson quietly pushed this Bill through the Legislative Council on 7 May, with no consultation, no warning, and no compensation written into the law. It hands Water NSW the power to flood private farms whenever it suits them, without ever having to ask the owner.
If Premier Minns announced he could flood any house in Mosman tomorrow with no permission and no payout, every street from Mosman to Bondi would be in revolt by Sunday. He has done exactly that to the bush this week, while the cameras were pointed somewhere else.
We don't live in Russia or China, we live in Australia, and if Labor gets away with taking control of our farms, no home anywhere in this country is safe.
